Home Scouts features in leading Mortgage Advisor publication

Leading mortgage broker publication, Mortgage Professional Australia, recently invited Bronwen Stacey from Home Scouts, to share insights in to just some of the costs buyers need to investigate when looking to purchase a unit or townhouse. Strata fees are critical to factor in to the costs of owning this type of property.

But also important is doing research in to Body Corporate records, as part of due diligence, to uncover potential big capital outlays that may be on the agenda of Body Corporate so that there aren’t any nasty surprises down the track.

Example of one of Home Scouts recent unit purchases for a client

This large, 2 bedroom Sunshine Coast holiday unit was purchased by buyers agent Home Scouts (contracted by Providence Property), and is located in a prime beachfront location at Cotton Tree.

It is also within walking distance to key restaurants, cafes and shopping as well as the growing Maroochydore CBD Precinct. As a holiday unit, it was a good size and appeals to both short holidays as well as longer vacations.

Testimonial (via Providence Property)

“We engaged Providence to purchase a holiday unit interstate at the Sunshine Coast. One of the main reasons for engaging them was because we were not domiciled in QLD and needed some local knowledge on the ground.

We were introduced to their Sunshine Coast specialist Bronwen Stacey who we found to be excellent in terms of service and advice and we quickly gained confidence that Bronwen had our interests as her priority. Bronwen often engaged with us out of office hours, including inspections on her own time.

Providence allowed us to stay out of Agent engagement and negotiation and supported us fully through the process. A lack of suitable stock meant it took some time to find the right property but in the end that is what they found at the right price and we have no hesitation in recommending them highly to anyone looking to invest in property.”
