As a young professional couple, London and Kieran were facing rapidly rising property rental prices in Brisbane inner city so decided to instigate their first home purchase.

Having no experience in property purchasing and in a highly competitive market, they were apprehensive about the best way to secure their first home within their budget in their ideal location. They were after a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in inner Brisbane under $700,000 which could also accommodate their pets. They were also able to access the Home Guarantee Scheme.

Our Approach

As a first step, we worked closely with our clients to define their brief, as well as audited buildings in target locations for internal and balcony size and aspect in order to streamline the shortlisting process.

On the first weekend of inspecting properties, we identified their perfect home in the city fringe suburb of Fortitude Valley.

Our negotiation skills and relationships with key agents enabled us to secure the property for our clients for under $685,000, against 23 other competitive written offers.

At contract stage, a Building & Pest Inspection identified a safety issue which we then ensured was quickly rectified at the vendor’s expense, in collaboration with the selling agent, vendor and building manager.
