Moorooka home purchased by Home Scouts for first home buyer clients
Buyer Brief
As first home buyers in the very competitive Brisbane market, Jacob and Jordan were making offer after offer on homes only to find them falling through time and time again. This situation, combined with their working schedules not conducive to Saturday morning viewings, led their mortgage broker to recommend professional help to secure their first home.
Having no experience in property purchasing and in a highly competitive market, they were apprehensive about the best way to secure their first home within their budget close to their workplaces.
Their ideal property was a 3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car townhouse or unit.
Jacob and Jordan engaged Home Scouts for our full buyers agency service to manage the search and acquisition of their property.
Our Approach
As a first step, we worked closely with our clients to define their brief and determine what was most important and what could be realistically achieved within their budget.
We searched across a range of their ideal target inner south locations including Upper Mount Gravatt, Mount Gravatt, Annerley and Carina. A tranquil 3 bed townhouse ticking all the boxes, was identified in Moorooka.
As this property was going to auction, we undertook thorough due diligence prior to the auction. An auction strategy was then determined and agreed with out client, and on the day we bid on our clients behalf for the property. At the auction, the bids didn’t meet reserve, however we had the first opportunity to negotiate with the sellers and secured the property after robust negotiations.
Result

Location
Moorooka, located just 9 km south of Brisbane’s CBD, is a diverse and vibrant suburb known for its leafy streets and community feel. Families benefit from local schools, parks, and recreational facilities, while the nearby Toohey Forest provides great walking tracks and nature escapes. With its proximity to the city and affordable housing options, more and more young professionals and families are finding Moorooka to be a great option.
Sandra ensured the property buying process was stress free and easy for her clients and myself. She always answered and did exactly what she said she would do. With his regular updates I was never left wondering what was happening. Sandra is professional and genuine and very easy to deal with. I highly recommend Sandra & Home Scouts.
