Buyer Brief

Rachel and Sam were looking to purchase their first investment property in South East Queensland as a key asset to support their capital growth and income goals.

They were looking for a house which was in a high growth area of the Sunshine Coast or Brisbane, but would also give them solid yield.

As busy interstate professionals who weren’t local to either Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, they contacted Home Scouts for expert guidance on the best areas to target and to help secure the right investment property for their needs.

Our Approach

We began by conducting in-depth research to identify the best Sunshine Coast and Brisbane suburbs aligned with our clients’ goals, risk profile, and budget. Our analysis incorporated a range of demand and supply metrics, as well as long-term growth drivers and yield trends, to ensure a data-backed investment strategy.

Once the shortlisted suburbs and investment approach was agreed upon with our Newcastle-based clients, we activated our network of local agents to uncover suitable opportunities – including on-market, pre-market, and off-market properties.

We identified multiple options in both Sunshine Coast and Brisbane regions. The ideal property was shortlisted on the Sunshine Coast and we secured the property at a very competitive price at auction. Through strategic negotiation and favourable terms at post auction negotiations, we were able to position our offer to appeal to the seller and successfully agree a contract.

Following contract execution, we supported our clients by facilitating property management selection and ensuring a smooth handover for leasing.
