Kanishka and Anu are a professional Sydney-based couple with a young family. As part of their investment planning, they wanted to purchase a Brisbane investment property through their Self Managed Super Fund.
They were seeking a property in an area with long term strong capital growth prospects, which was in good condition with no renovation required, and neutrally geared. Their budget was $650,000 for this purchase.Â
Not being familiar with Brisbane, they needed qualified property investment advisers who were on the ground to do their search and acquisition for them to ensure they bought the right property in the right location.Â

Our Approach
Whilst their initial goal was to purchase a free standing house, their budget did not allow for this property type within a reasonable proximity to the Brisbane CBD. An alternative strategy we recommended to address the proximity vs budget challenges, was to search for a townhouse dwelling in a superior area.
Our suburb recommendations took in to account their budget and objectives, assessment of key growth drivers including (among others) infrastructure spend, proximity to amenities, and current and future prospects.
After inspecting a range of properties across the broader Brisbane region, we identified a property opportunity which met all key criteria for yield, capital growth, and access to amenities.
Conducting due diligence and a pricing strategy, we negotiated with the agent. In a multiple offer situation, our client’s use of a buyer’s agent gave the seller confidence, leading to a successful bid. Once the contract was secured and the property passed inspection, we assisted our clients with property manager options to ensure a smooth handover to tenancy.
