Carina and Sebastian had moved up from Sydney’s northern beaches to rent a property on the Sunshine Coast while they searched for their perfect new home.

They were seeking a property which was walking distance to the beach, low set with 3+ bedrooms and a good sized yard for their fur family. It also needed to be a property in an area with growth potential, as part of their long term property investment strategy.

A busy professional couple, they were unfamiliar with the Queensland purchasing process and looking for professional advice to find and secure their ideal home. They had been looking themselves for some time, and the areas they were interested in purchasing were highly in demand, with properties moving very quickly.

They engaged us to manage the full search, negotiation and acquisition of their ideal home.

Our Approach

We worked with our clients to define their ideal Sunshine Coast home and property type within their budget.

Our clients joined me to inspect properties, and we worked closely together to research and shortlist the right properties. With properties often being hotly contested at auctions and prices escalating quickly, navigating this market required agility, speed and good relationships with the selling agents.

While a property on our radar very early on in our search process came up, it was secured by another party before we were ready to act. We search broadly and identified numerous other off-market as well as pre-market and on-market opportunities – but none were perfectly fitting our brief or budget.

Meanwhile, I continued to keep in close contact with the selling agents across our target region, and the agents on that initial property that we liked contacted me when the original contract fell through due to finance, we mobilised quickly to secure the property for my clients at a competitive price and terms, before the property could be re-advertised to anyone else.
